Information we collect

We collect account details such as your email address, selected plan, trial status, and meeting usage. When you use the recorder, we may process transcripts, meeting titles, attendee names, generated notes, action items, and saved meeting history.

How we use information

We use this information to run the product, generate meeting notes, manage subscriptions, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and provide support.

AI processing

Notes Recorder sends transcript text and meeting context to OpenAI through a private server-side API call so the app can generate summaries, decisions, risks, and action items. API keys are not exposed in browser code.

Payments

Subscriptions and checkout are handled by Stripe. Stripe may process billing details, payment method information, tax information, and transaction history under Stripe's own privacy terms.

Audio and transcripts

Browser recording runs in your browser. Transcript text and generated meeting notes may be saved when you use the workspace history or note-generation features. Audio download is controlled from the browser experience and is not required for AI note generation.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and meeting data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and maintain security. To request deletion of account or meeting data, contact support.

Security

We use server-side secrets, HTTPS hosting, subscription gates, and rate limits to reduce exposure. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure, so customers should avoid recording information they are not authorized to capture.
